COVERGIRL REIGN Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatch & Thoughts

by Wasifa Ahmad Hasan

Recently Covergirl has launched some great products, from eyeshadow palettes to concealers. In today’s review session, I am going to share my thoughts on Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette.

Covergirl Reign Palette is part of the Her Majesty collection that launched at Walmart recently. It retails for $14.98 and can be found at Walmart. There are 4 eyeshadow palettes in this collection. The packaging and design of these palettes have a certain regal look to them. Each of these contains 12 eyeshadows and a good-sized mirror. Scroll down to see the shades of the shadows.

Covergirl Reign Eyeshadow Palette Swatch & Review:

Covergirl Reign palette has 12 jewel-toned shades. The cardboard packaging is pretty cute with golden flowers on it. Each shade has its name. As the shades are all shimmery, you will need matte shades to complete your eye makeup look.

The pans in the palette are mismatched in size. I was wondering why on earth these are done like this. Then read the review of  Musings of A Muse,

“….the reason they did this was to give you an idea of how to pair shares up using three shades. The smaller wells seem to be the liner and the two larger are contrasting shades for your lid and crease. Which means you can get four looks using their layout. Or mix and match as you want for endless looks.

Now let’s come to the swatch of the shades. To be completely fair, I did not use any primer or product underneath the swatches. You will see just ONE SWIPE of the shadows on my arm. The shadows are buildable and with a primer or a conclear underneath, the shades just pop and dazzle more!

I loved the color ranges of the palette because I love jewel-toned shadows. The only con I found is that I will be needing some matte shades to complete my eye makeup look. Other than that, I like the Covergirl Reign palette for my brown tanned skin.
