Hello readers! So we all know Mother’s day is knocking around the corner. As many of you are trying to whip up gift ideas for mothers, I want to take the attention to the “young” or “recent” mothers who want some “me time”. As a mother of a 17 month old I know what I want- I want to sleep uninterrupted for a “decent” amount of time, I want to be pampered…..and also I want to go out on a date with my husband.
If you have a toddler and you don’t usually go for the babysitter service, you would understand how hard it is for couples to just relax and enjoy each other’s company. So suppose you have got a babysitter you can trust, are you feeling overwhelmed to get yourself ready?
Don’t worry. Today I am going to give some tips on how to get prepared for date night with my essentials!
I can’t emphasis this enough: if your skin condition is bad, the $100 foundation on top is going to look bad. So it’s essential to prep the skin properly before putting on any makeup.
I like to wash my face before putting on any makeup. I start with PIXI Glow Mud cleanser which clears my skin of oil and dead skin. Paired with PIXI overnight glow serum– my skin feels moisturized, healthy and glowy.
After you have applied your foundation, concealer and powdered the oily areas, let’s bring some glow back to skin. Currently I am absolutely loving Too Faced love light Ray Of Light highlighter– packaging and product wise. Just look at this beauty, I feel like staring at it all day!
I am not going into details about eyemakeup because you can literally do any eyemakeup as long as you are comfortable pulling it off. For the lip option I really like Famous liquid lipstick from Huda Beauty. On my lips the color looks alluring and mysterious. You can also choose a lighter color of different finish.
For my attire, I have picked this KYLA WINE MARLED BODYCON DRESS by TOBI. I really loved the beautiful color of this dress. I pair it with black leggings or tights with boots & jacket. You can find my dress from Tobi.com.
My leather jacket from Calvin Klein goes perfectly with this Midi Bodycon Dress. I pair the dress with my Franco Sarto booties. As the booties are open-toed, I picked Maybelline Color Show street art nail color in Wild at Heart (22).
Last but not the least, Don’t forget to spritz some perfume. I picked BAMBOO EAU DE PARFUM SPRAY for the occasion. This beautiful fresh scent creates mood for a romantic night and lifts up the spirit. You can find this exclusive perfume from Fragrance Outlet.

I’m loving how well all of the colours match! (I’m a sucker for matching my lips and nails).
As a new visitor to your blog, I love the layouts and cleanliness of your images, and will definitely be checking back in. Thanks for writing such a wonderful post!
Thank you so much for your appreciation! I also like to get matchy matchy with the lips & nails and sometimes I like to go in total opposite direction, haha!
