All of us are concerned about our skin and we take a lot of pains to get fair and beautiful skin. However, while we are constantly at work keeping our hands and face looking its best, we tend to ignore our neck. Hence, you find a lot of people with dark necks, which are immediately noticeable the day you decide to wear a deep-necked top or dress. Luckily for you, we have some simple home remedies that will now help you kiss your dark neck goodbye and go out in confidence, knowing you have beautiful healthy skin.
Cucumber
Take a cucumber and grate it. Put this mixture into a mixer and make a juice out if it. Apply this juice onto the affected area of your skin. Make sure you massage and leave it for about 10 minutes. Use water to rinse it off. Repeat this procedure daily.
Lemon Juice
Take the lemon and squeeze it into a glass. Take some of this juice and apply it nicely over your neck. Leave it on for about 20 minutes and then wash with cold water. Not only does lemon juice contain rich doses of Vitamin C but it also contains properties that are good for lightening the skin.
Almond Oil
Take almond oil in a bowl and heat it up. Next, massage your neck with this and leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse it off with the help of cold water and use this remedy daily. Almonds contain a range of vitamins that are good for the skin.
Oats Pack
Ground oats till you get a coarse powder. Do not let them get too fine. Take these oats and add them to tomato pulp and mix well. Mix it till it forms a proper paste. The tomato pulp has natural bleaching properties, making it a very good ingredient for this natural scrub. Apply this paste onto your neck and leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes. After this, wet your fingers slightly and start rubbing your neck by moving them in a circular motion. Do this for five to seven minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
This method is effective because the coarse oats are known to have exfoliating properties that will get the dead skin as well as dirt out of your neck. After washing it off, apply a moisturizer and massage the neck gently. Use this method twice or three times a week.
Lime and Turmeric Pack
Take the juice from a freshly squeezed lime and apply it onto your neck with the help of a cotton ball. Leave it on for about 10 to 15 minutes and then wash it off with the help of cold water. To give your skin an added glow, add turmeric powder to the lime juice before applying it. If you use turmeric powder, you will have to wash the mixture off with warm water. Apply this a couple of times in a week and you will soon notice the results. However, make sure you don’t step out into the sun directly after using the lemon juice as this can cause harm your skin rather than rectifying it.
Baking Soda
Mix baking soda with water and make a paste out of it. Apply this paste onto your neck and leave it on for about 15 minutes. After this, wash it off with the help of warm water. Baking soda is very useful in getting rid of patchy skin that is caused due to hyper pigmentation.
Lemon Works Wonders
Mix lemon/lime juice with rose water and apply this onto your neck. Rub it gently so that it is absorbed into skin. Leave this on for an hour and wash it off with water. Follow this process for a month for best results.
Honey-Lemon Pack
Mix lemon juice with a few drops of honey. Stir it well and apply it onto your neck. Leave it for a few minutes until dry and then rinse it off with cold water. Make sure you repeat this method regularly to notice a difference.
All In One Pack
Take two tsp of lemon juice and milk and mix it with one tsp of honey and almond oil. Apply it to the affected area and leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and repeat it daily for best results.
Ignoring the neck will not only cause it to look dark and tanned, but it also will result in blemishes, patches and even wrinkles. So by using a few of these tips regularly, you will soon get your neck looking as good as the rest of your skin.

I am a girl in my 20s, trying to discover myself in an exciting manner and wish to get surprised by every move of my life. Writing for me, I believe, relieves stress, helps me concentrate better, and lets me re-invent myself. It enchants me like meditation, which stimulates the deepest recesses of my brain and thus lets me harness the energy hitherto lying unused. It has the power to heal and to understand better. It broadens my vision and gives wings to figments of my imagination. I therefore believe in the power of analyzing myself and some day find a better human inside of me. My blog: Surbhi Bhatnagar.
