If I ask you, what’s the first makeup products you have ever tried on, you will most likely mention one of the following: Eyeliner or Lipstick. For me, it was pencil liners. My mother used to use black pencil liners to line her eyes and when she saw that I was intrigued to try out, she got me a new one for myself. It was my most precious possession and I felt “super pretty” when I wore it.
To honor the first-ever makeup product, today I am going to share my most used black pencil liners which I use over and over again. All of these pencil liners are long-wearing, smudge-proof, opaque and sets pretty well. So without any particular order, let’s get started.

Best Black Pencil Eye Liners:
ESQIDO Gel Eyeliner: Esqido has a black and brown version of their gel eyeliner. The sleek design has a built-in sharpener at the end of the pencil. I have tried both colors and both performed well.
ANTONYM Eye Pencil: It looks just like a regular pencil, but it also has a detachable, precision-made sharpener. Extremely easy to apply and it delivers what it claims.
EYEKO Sport Eyeliner: Another eyeliner gem, this is a 3-in-1 liner with a built-in brush and sharpener. Easy to use, wear and gives a beautiful result.
MILANI Stay Put® Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil: Intense, waterproof and long-wearing- this eyeliner is a great drugstore liner.
SLEEK Intense Waterliner: This intense liner, called “Zodiac Black”, with its deep dark black shade is a pretty addition to any smokey eye makeup.
URBAN DECAY 24/7 Glide-On Eyepencil: Urban Decay pencil liners are one of the bests on the market. They have 3 black pencil liner options: Zero, Perversion and Black Velvet. The first 2 are the semi-matte black and the Black Velvet one is the dry-matte.
LANCOME Drama Liqui-Pencil: My “Noir Intense” shade from Lancome is finished so I am showing the dark brown shade “Brulee” from this line. This liner sets pretty fast and stays on the waterline for a long time. Check out my review and different color swatches from this line here: Lancôme DRAMA LIQUI-PENCIL™ Longwear Eyeliner Review & Swatch
MARC JACOBS Highliner Gel Crayon: If you haven’t tried anything from this line yet, try it. They offer many colors and finishes and the black “Blacquer 42 – black” and blue “Out Of The Blue 53 – matte cobalt” are my most used liners from Marc Jacobs.

I know there are way too many options for liners on the market, but I still love to use pencil liners because they are super easy to use and more forgiving than a liquid liner. You can just take a small smudge brush to smudge the liner for a softer look. I have also listed other great pencil eyeliners in different price range so that you can have a wide range of choice.
