Celebrating Mother’s Day with my Daughter

Mother's Day

Hello my dear reader! Happy Mother’s day to those who are celebrating!

Mother’s day or any other significant day that revolves around parents/family is kinda bittersweet for me as my family lives in a different country with a distance of many….many miles. I visited them last year after 2 long years and it’s very hard for me as I am really close to them.

But I don’t want my sadness to be reflected upon my daughter and that’s why I have decided to celebrate these days in very small and significant ways.

She is now 18 months old and day by day her love for “bunnies” and “ducks” can be seen dramatically. She can “hop hop” to nursery rhymes and “tap tap” to music. She wants to blow bubbles and wants to go outside every chance she gets. She amazes and drives me nuts simultaneously every single day.

She won’t remember this day but I want her to know that I am learning more as a person every minute after I became her mother. She is somehow making me a better organizer and a multi tasker. She is teaching me patience and unique ways I have never thought of before to do a simple work .

I want to say to all the mothers out there: you won’t get what you need from a “how to” book or a parenting blog. There’s no hack you can apply to your children. But you can do one thing, give them your unconditional love and understanding. Every child is different and so is every mother. Build your relationship according to that and cherish every moment with the little ones!

So here is it, sharing my personal and very cozy mother’s day with you all. Enjoy the pictures!

My comfortable sweater is the MORE TIME WINE SWEATER DRESS from Tobi which I wore with a jeggings,

lipstick is EM cosmetics infinite lip cloud in Rose Nude and glasses are from Firmoo Optical.
