The Beem Box Review- “Beem from within”

by Wasifa Ahmad Hasan

Beauty subscription boxes are one of the best ways to stumble upon good products and brands, especially if you are a beauty/makeup enthusiast and constantly looking for better products. I have recently come across The Beem Box- A beauty box for black and brown beauties. In case you are a new reader, I am a South Asian with brown skin. So naturally, the box had my interest peaked.
I was sent the box by the brand, tried out the products from the box and going to review if it’s worth your money or not. Keep on reading.

About The Beem Box:

The Beem Box caters to the distinct beauty needs of women of color to help them feel radiate inside and out. They recognize that diversity and inclusivity matter in the beauty industry. They are helping to lead the way in today’s beauty conversation—the box is filled with eyeshadow, lipstick, nail polish, skincare, and much more. You can receive a new box every two months with five to six full-sized beauty products carefully curated for darker shades, deeper pigments, and unique undertones.

The box is created by Nimilolu- an immigrant born in Nigeria and moved to California when she was 8 years old. She wanted to create a community that admires and acknowledges those often left out of the beauty conversation. Her brand message is to encourage and amplify the true beauty that is already present with us. Follow their Instagram: @thebeembox.

The Beem Box Review:

This box has 6 full-sized products. Here’s the tidbit about these:

SHAYDE BEAUTY DETOXIFYING CHARCOAL MASK: I love a charcoal mask! They are staples in my mask collection. This particular one did not dry out or irritate the skin and I like to use it weekly around my nose to get rid of the impurities.

KINX THE COME DOWN HYDRATOR: I posted about the serum on my Instagram lately. If you have dry skin, it will work best on your skin. This serum hydrates my dry skin properly and absorbs easily. I use it before my regular moisturizer so that skin can absorb the moisture. I also love the rose smell.

BODYOGRAPHY EYE PENCIL: It’s a creamy pencil liner. The color intensity can be built up. I got the Shade Deep Violet.

CARGO SWIMMABLES™ MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICK: Cargo lip products, especially liquid lipsticks, are some of the bests out there regarding quality and longevity. This is the Shade Newport. I can see this shade is just perfect for Fall or colder months.

MOIRA BEAUTY LOOSE SETTING POWDER: Shade medium. It’s a decent setting powder. I have only used it once. But I will try out more to give a more accurate verdict.

HIPDOT ZION PALETTE: This is a quad of 4 eyeshadows from the Zion palette. and I LOVE the shades! Scroll below to the swatches of the shadows without any base, and under sunlight. I feel sunlight gives the best and most accurate result of swatches, you can see every little sparkle, glitter, color intensity and texture.

In a nutshell….The Beem Box is-

Worth the money! You can try out new full sized products. I just wish The Beem Box can add 2-3 samples too, you know? The one you can get from Sephora or Ulta. That would have made the whole experience perfect!
