Let me start this article with the following statement:
“Facial exfoliation and removing the peach fuzz from face should be an integral part of everyone’s skin care routine.”
If you are a woman and you are reading this with a skeptical mind, see the following pictures and read the rest of my article to see why I am saying so.
WHAT IS DERMAFLASH:
A first-of-its-kind, at-home, professional quality, facial skin exfoliation, and peach fuzz removal device for women. This device helps in: Hair removal, Dullness and uneven texture, Uneven skin tone.
DERMAFLASH was inspired by Dermaplaning, a costly exfoliation procedure available only in medical spas or doctor’s offices. The treatment gently removes the outermost layer of skin, with a scalpel, to reveal a brighter, smoother complexion. DERMAFLASH brings the effectiveness of Dermaplaning home, comfortably and safely. Great for women of all ethnicities and ages, this is a revolutionary device that uses a subtle sonic vibration paired with a stainless steel Edge to sweep away dead, dull skin cells, debris, and peach fuzz for skin that’s soft, dewy, luminous, and younger-looking.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY:
DERMAFLASH Facial Exfoliating Device retails for $189 and The Essentials DERMAFLASH Replenishment Kit retails for $39.
- These can be found on Sephora (link).

FACIAL HAIR IN WOMEN:
For those who are new to the term, “Peach Fuzz” refers to “the down on the chin of an adolescent boy whose beard has not yet developed.”
I understand this is completely natural for adolescent boy BUT sometimes due to hormones, women develop noticeable hair on their faces too. This is, in plain words, uncomfortable for most of us.
I have developed more than usual amount of facial hair during and after my pregnancy. No matter how full coverage foundation I have used or whatever process I am following to hide, the very fine hair around my mouth, chin and cheek was visible.
For this reason, I started to use tweezers to remove those at first. This process is not only time consuming, but also painful. Threading by my own was not an option. Waxing and facial bleach gave very bad reactions. So only shaving remained.
I have used those generic facial hair-removal razors from Amazon (I am talking about these ones). It worked good but somehow lacked the finesse I was looking for.
MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE DERMAFLASH:
After trying out Dermaflash (with the provided products), the “shaving” experience was a lot better, in fact, it was great!
The device comes with:
– 0.8 oz/ 23.65 mL Prep Cleanser
– 0.8 oz/ 23.65 mL Soothe Hydrating Moisturizer
– DERMAFLASH Facial Exfoliating Device
– Charging base
– Line cord
– 6 x DERMAFLASH Exfoliating Edges – To perform DERMAFLASH

DOES HAIR GROW LIKE A MAN/BEARD AFTER SHAVING?
This is the most asked question….and the answer is:
NO, NOPE, NADA.
Unless you have a medical condition, your facial hair remains the same even after shaving. You are just removing the top layer of your skin and hair.
In some cases you will notice diminished hair growth or finer hair after a long period of shaving.
I am doing this for 1 year and I am speaking from my experience.
HOW OFTEN DO I SHAVE:
It depends on hair growth. I try to limit this once a month…..at most, 2 times if I really need it.
PROCEDURE:
At first you clean your face with a mild cleanser and then pat it dry. After that take your equipment and start shaving in downward stroke (never against the hair growth, which will cause irritation).
PROS:
- Gently exfoliates skin.
- Removes the hair from face and neck.
- Aesthetically pleasing.
- Easy to handle.
- Reveals smooth skin that lasts up to 7-10 or 14 days (depending on the hair growth of the user).
CONS:
- Really pricey.
- You can use the exfoliating edges only once.
IN A NUTSHELL:
If you have the fund for replacing the exfoliating edges every other month, then Dermaflash is surely a good investment.
