Those who love to do online shopping; what if I tell you, you can browse 8000 brands and your favorite products in one website/app? And what if it covers clothing, home, garden, beauty and sports goods- all in one place?
Have I gotten you interest now?
I have recently discovered a website/app called OCTER which allowed me to browse through different products, brands and categories all in one place…..and today I am going to share my thoughts, experience and inside details of Octer.
WHAT IS OCTER:
To ease the process of online shopping, OCTER (www.octer.com) was launched in December 2014 as a mobile shopping application. It encourages the customers to discover, compare and trust the brands and their products. You can use your computer, mobile or tablet to browse more than thousands of products including sale products. So simplify things, Octer “LISTS” all of the products from thousands of brands & stores so that you can spend less time browsing and more time shopping.
WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH IT:
a. You can find high street to designer brands.
b. You can either shop by department or filter through stores.
c. You can also browse a specific product. It’s your choice!
A LOOK THROUGH OCTER APP:
Here I am going to give you a quick tour into Octer. I am showing the screenshot of the Categories and into the Beauty and then the Makeup section. You can see all of these are pretty easy to look into and also neatly organized.

Let’s say you have picked the Arena studded suede flat sandals from Matchesfashion.com. You can Share the product in your social media, Compare the price with similar products, and also Save the item so that you can order it later.
You can also directly chat with the customer’s service if you want.

WHAT DID I PICK:
I picked 3 different products from Octer:
-
- Orrefors-‘Ice’ Ring Holder
-
- Erickson-Cuff Ponytail Holder
- Anastasia Beverly Hills-‘Modern Renaissance’ Eyeshadow Palette
Unfortunately the ABH eyeshadow palette is sold out everywhere. Only Nordstrom took the order as a backordered item. So I am patiently waiting for that one.
HOW WAS MY EXPERIENCE:
- Both the website and the app is pretty easy to use. Just swipe and tap!
- It will be easier if you can just make a profile so that you can “save” any item you like.
IN A NUTSHELL:
With OCTER, you don’t have to jump from one brand/store’s website to another just to see which one is carrying an item or which one is offering a reduced price (if any). You can achieve a great shopping experience through one app!
