As the Fall season has started to show its full glory, the trees here in Fargo are losing their leaves and their color. Dryness is creeping in and gradually it is making my skin drier, lusterless. I needed something to make my skin look & feel moisturized and balance out the oily-dry situation. (T-zone oily, cheeks are dry- you get the picture!)
So I have been trying some products, specially masks, and found out something….umm…unexpected. The famous Drink-Up Intensive Overnight mask from Origins has finally started to work it’s magic on my skin.
Well, here’s a little back story for context. I used the Drink Up Intensive mask from Origins 3 years ago when I was living in Dhaka. It broke out my skin badly and I regretted purchasing that product. Fast forward, this year Origins sends me a new product called Maskimizer along with this mask, I use this combo and my skin feels like a baby’s foot! Pure magic!
Moral of the story: Your skin can act differently on different circumstances and different times. Give a product another try before you disregard it completely.
PRODUCT DETAILS:
For the Maskimizer, here’s what Origins has to say:
Take masking to the max! Priming mist with Marine Algae Complex helps hydrate, soften and optimize skin’s condition so it’s fully prepped to enhance your mask experience. Just a quick spritz gets skin primed. Ready to reach its most flawless potential.
For the mask, here is what the brand claims:
Put dry skin to bed with this ultra-rich, hydrating overnight mask. Avocado and Apricot Kernel Oils deeply and instantly quench compromised moisture reserves and help build a reservoir for tomorrow. While Japanese Seaweed helps repair skin’s barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature aging. Skin awakens comfortable, refreshed, supple.
MASKIMIZER:
So you use a primer for face makeup, another one for eye makeup….why not for face mask?
May be that’s what Origins had in mind when they brought out this product. It’s a priming solution which will hydrate and soften skin so that skin can soak in the mask better.
THE MASK:
You can actually use any mask, except the peel-off ones, with Maskimizer. I have used Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask. I use this sweet-smelling cream like a moisturizer once (or maximum twice) a week in colder days.
AVAILABILITY & PRICE:
You can get the Maskimizer for $22 on Origins, Sephora
You can get the Mask for $26 on Origins, Sephora
HOW TO USE:
- Hold the Maskimizer bottle 10”-12” from face.
- Spray over clean skin.
- Lightly pat with your fingers.
- Apply mask.
- Do the happy dance (or not!), because your skin is going to look beautiful!
MY EXPERIENCE:
A primer for face mask sounds gimmicky, I know. But Origins Maskimizer is that product which will make you realize that your skin care routine was incomplete until you tried this one out! After using it, I felt that I needed this in my life. It somehow acts as a catalyst and makes a mask act more efficiently on skin.
IN A NUTSHELL:
Dear Origins,
Together these products are making my skin as smoother as it can be and I am pleasantly surprised by Maskimizer. It’s truly worth the money!
