If you are a beauty junkie or like to dwell in the makeup world, you are bound to hear the brand name “Too Faced” and/or “Vegas Nay”, not necessarily together though. Too Faced cosmetics has teamed up with the famous Vegas Nay, and given us a wonderful limited edition “STARDUST” palette this holiday season. If you do not know Vegas Nay yet, have a look at my previous article where I met her and attended her workshop.

Today I am going to show you this new edition with in-depth review, swatches and lots of pictures.

WHAT TOO FACED HAS TO SAY:

Too Faced has teamed up with social media sensation @Vegas_Nay to create this Ulta-exclusive palette! @Vegas_Nay (Naomi Giannopoulos) is an Instagram beauty superstar known for her artistic, beautiful pictorials.

This carefully curated collection contains 12 stunning matte and shimmer shadows, loose glitter pigment, deluxe sizes of Too Faced’s bestselling Shadow Insurance and Better Than Sex Mascara, and six glamorous looks to get you started.

PACKAGING:

All of the products mentioned above come in a very cute and girly pink-gold packaging. It may seem bulkier at-first but after you have opened the box and taken out the products, they are travel friendly individually.

SHADOWS & SWATCHES:

The 12 eyeshadows are a good mix of matte and shimmery finish. The colors lean more on warm side. The shadows are definitely pigmented with or without primer but a primer will increase the staying power.

Chandelier: This is a light creamy white color with satin finish

Millennial: Medium matte brown with warm undertone.

Girl’s Night: Medium-dark matte brown with warm red undertone.

#selfie: Very light pink with silver sheen within.

Showgirl: Coppery medium brown with warm undertone.

Pink Pearl: Light baby pink with cool undertone and silver metallic finish.

The Strip: Dusty or mauvy pink with warm undertone and silver shimmers.

Follow Me: Medium Purple with cool undertone and fine blue shimmers.

FOURTH ROW:

Double Tap: Medium-dark burgundy with warm undertone. It has fine burgundy & silver shimmers within it, but when you apply the color on lid it will translate as matte.

Golden Nugget: Light-medium shimmery yellow gold with metallic finish.

Sin City: Matte black.

PIGMENT:

The pigment is called “Nude Beam“. It is a warm light golden beige with metallic finish. The color significantly looks different under different light.

PROS:

  • You will get $192 worth of product in $45.
  • The set comes with most of the products you will need to create a complete eye makeup look.
  • The eyeshadows are well pigmented and blends really well.
  • The shadows used without a primer performed almost as well as after using a primer.
  • Includes 6 mini tutorial cards or glamour cards which will help you if you need makeup inspiration.

 

CONS:

  • Limited edition.
  • The pigment will need a primer or sticky base to show up and reduce the fall off.

 

IN A NUTSHELL:

From price-point to overall performance, Stardust set is a must have in this season. Two thumbs up from Sifa’s Corner!
