Happy new year!!
I know I am wayyy too late to post an article about new year, but better late than never, right?
Before I start apologizing for my absence on my blog for the last 2 months, let’s take a trip down the memory lane & talk about the works I have done throughout 2013.
Here are some of my most appreciated works of 2013:
I worked for a jewelry advertisement and created a very daring yet Desi red bridal look:
I painted the canvas of a pretty face with colors:
I unleashed the inner tigress and appealed to “Save the Royal Bengal Tigers of Sunderban” campaign:
I ventured into the dark, twisted mind of Alex from A clockwork orange:
I channeled the beauty of Audrey Hepburn…
…and Uma Thurman from the movie Kill Bill…
Cruella De-Vill from 101 Dalmatians came to life..
So did 4 beautiful princesses from Disney…. Snow white, Rapunzel, Cinderella & Sleeping beauty..
and last but not the least, I got to become “The bride“…
|After the “vows”|
Yes, I got married this December… and that was the reason of my absence from my blog.
This is a picture of my “Akd“. Those who are not well acquainted with Bengali-Muslim culture, it is the registry or main wedding event.
It is probably the most important makeup work of my life… I wanted to create a polished & better version of “myself”, not too much made up like typical bengali wedding.
My fingers were trembling with excitement & tension during the whole time!
|Before starting of the ceremony.. stressed & tensed.|
The makeup lasted for 7+ hours through tears, sweats, endless hugging and smiling.
The best part of the whole experience- after the chaotic & stressful registry event and meeting-greeting the new family members; when my husband & I finally sat down, he whispered to me,
“You are looking so beautiful darling!”
And about my new year resolution:
WORK HARDER, SMARTER & MORE SINCERELY!
