It’s about 3 different makeup looks you can choose for your wedding day. So check it out….and let us know which one is your favorite! ]

When it comes to planning your wedding day, the dress, venue and makeup are the top of the list. There are tons of examples of looks, guides and how-to’s to get that perfect “bridal” makeup just right, so how can you be sure that what you’re looking for is right for you?
Be Classical In Natural
The traditional wedding look usually involves sweeping bronzes and creams with a little build-up of soft eyeliner for a natural look, or a flick of black liner for something a bit more precise. It’s easy to get this look, but don’t be fooled by its simplicity. Often, the natural or classic look needs a bit more attention and layering so that you don’t look washed-out on photographs.
It also relies on you knowing your exact skin type too – a slightly darker foundation stands out, while a foundation that is too pale doesn’t do its job. Even if you are not having a makeup artist for your day, consider visiting an expert who can colour match your skin. It doesn’t matter if you prefer a slightly darker tone in your makeup palette, as foundation is about layering and blending so it’s important you don’t over-do it.

Use pale golds, soft browns and creams on the lid. Use concealer to highlight under your eyes and cheekbones. Natural pinks are great for adding a dash of prettiness on your cheeks and lips.
Be Bold In Brights
Classical looks are timeless, but you don’t have to be afraid of adding brights into your look. Smokey colours can really accentuate your eyes, making them appear larger and using bold colours such as greens, blues and hot pinks can make your look stand out. I usually set myself a rule to only focus on one area of your face when experimenting. Particularly if you have pale skin, bright eyes and lips can make you look less like a bridal beauty and more like a bridal nightmare!
If you want bold, statement eyes, use metallics and deep hues – wet your brush before applying to really darken your powder and add staying power to your look. I use Bourgeois Little Round Pot Eyeshadow, they have so many different colours and all come with a handy applicator and mirror.

Again, this is about layering and blending – block colours may look good on models on the runway, but not so much when you’re posing for wedding photos.Build up colour and blend into the corners of your eyes. If you’re using a liner, try to keep it simple so that you don’t cover up the colour when you have your eyes open.
This is a look I use fairly often at night, as you can build as much colour and glitz as you like. If you don’t want your shadow to be too glam during the day, keep a handy eyeshadow pot you can blend into your makeup for the night time event such as glittery silver or metallic blue.
Be Majestical in Modern
Bright red lips are right on trend this year, from deep red matte to high-gloss vixen. Whichever hue you decide, again make sure you keep your lids looking natural. The bride at a wedding I attended last year achieved her great look by pinning her hair back with a red flower to match her lips – it was a great accent that looked completely effortless.
Get the Look:
Make sure you invest in a really good lipstick or gloss and buy well in advance so you can experiment and test staying power. You don’t want to be spending your wedding day doing touch ups, or worse, have your colour fade. If you’re afraid of the colour staining your teeth, put your lips around your index finger after application and before photos, or get someone to be on “lipstick duty!”
Trying different looks isn’t just about colour and style; you should also match your look to your dress. It sounds obvious, but dresses like this little cute number would look out of place at the side of bright lids. But if you already have your dress in mind, don’t be put off by not trying anything new – adding accents such as sashes, jackets and hair accessories can help you complete that look you’ve been dying to try – and you’ll look perfect on the day too.
Whatever your wedding style; traditional, beach, country or modern – you’re sure to find a makeup palette that suits you. If you’re doing your own makeup plan ahead and experiment so that you know what you want to achieve on the day. Makeup artists can help you to achieve your look, but not everyone knows you personally, so make sure you tell them if you think something isn’t working.
Ultimately, your wedding day is yours and reading guides, looks and magazines won’t help you decide any faster – but stick to what you know and what you’re comfortable with and you’re sure to have a wedding day without any additional stresses. It’s enough stress trying to organise the hen party!

Didn’t you just love the looks?
If you ask me I would go for the red lips…something about it just screams festive!

Nice job for Wedding Hair and makeup services
That's awesome! 🙂
I just know that my groom will identify me in the makeup so I always prefer a natural classic look but will try for a different hair style for that day.
