Cut crease Dolly eyes

by Wasifa Ahmad Hasan

I have to admit, I could not find a better name than this. Today’s eye makeup got 97% vote in Preen.me and viewers were asking about the tutorial.

This is a wonderful eye-makeup for those, who want to make their eyes appear deep seated, rounder, doe-like.
Let’s get started. The post is going to be picture heavy. Click on the images for larger view.

STEPS

[As usual, I am doing the eyes before the face so that fallout of eye-shadows can be corrected easily.]

1.

Prime your upper eyelid with UDPP- Greed. It’s a beautiful golden shimmery primer which can also be worn alone. If you don’t have UDPP- Greed, then use a creamy gold eye pencil as an eyeshadow base.

2.

Take UD pencil in Burbon and draw a line like this on your crease. As I have hooded eyes, I am drawing my line a little above the crease area.

3.

Use a brown eye liner pencil if you don’t have Burbon. This line will act as a guideline for the “Cut-Crease” look.

4.

Blend the Boubon well. Add more to make the color darken. Blend well upwards. But leave the area under your eye-brows bare.

5.

Take a matte brown eyeshadow which is similar to the brown eyeliner you have used. In my case, I am using Buck from UDNP-1. I have applied Buck over the Burbon and blended well.

6.

Take a matte brown shade which is exactly the same as your skin color. [If you can’t find a similar color, use your powder foundation]. Use this color to blend away any harsh lines. I have used Naked.

7.

Take a matte off-white or cream colored eyeshadow and apply it under your eyebrows to highlight the area. I have used French vanilla from Clinique.

8.

Take a cream colored eyeshadow with golden shimmer. Apply it onto the lid. Don’t go over the crease area. Apply more to make the color vibrant.

9.

Take a black eyeliner pencil or kohl and draw a line like this onto the crease. I have used Perversion.

10.

Blend well and blend upwards towards the Buck with a matte black shadow.

11.

Now apply the brown liner under your lower lash line like this. Keep the water line bare.

12.

Blend the brown liner with a similar brown eye shadow. I have used Buck.

13.

Apply the black shadow on the outer third of the lower lash line. (Don’t go over the water line). Blend well.

14.

Apply a shimmery white or cream eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eyes. I have used Virgin from UDNP-1.

15.

Apply your gel liner with a flick on the outer corner onto the upper eyelid.

16.

Take a white or cream colored eye pencil and apply it onto the lower water line. I have used NYX jumbo pencil in Milk.

17.

Add mascara to your upper and lower lashes. Fill in your eye brows and set with a clear gel.

18.

I have added false lashes and lined the upper lid with a liquid eyeliner.

19.

When you are done with the eye-makeup, it should look like this.

20.

Now clean up the fall-outs with a wet wipe or makeup remover and apply your face makeup.

21.

I have used MAC- Rebel on my lips. But sadly I am not happy with it. Rebel stains the lips after usage.

So, are you going to try this look? Chime in below!

I have hooded eyes and needed this step by step tutorial. I appreciate the lengthiness, details, and the pics. Sometimes a still pic, showing the placement of product is better or just as good as a video. THANK YOU! I can't wait to try it. I've been searching for a long time for tutorials on eye shapes similiar to mine.
