5 Tips for a Personalized Workspace for Bloggers
[Product provided by Museum Trees]
This October marks the 8 year anniversary of my blogging journey. Being a blogger was not something I planned at that time, gradually it became a part of me…part of my everyday life. In these 8 years, I have learned a lot of things…the one thing I am going to talk about today is how important it is to make a dedicated personalized workspace for your blogging work.
You can definitely work from your couch or anywhere else as a blogger, but a dedicated workspace fuels the creativity and enhances the concentration whether you are a part-time or a full-time blogger. No matter what everyone says maintaining a blog and work as a content creator requires planning and creativity. So when your workspace is messy and looks “totally-not-you”, it will be reflected on your work.
So here are my 5 tips for creating a personalized workspace.
Tip 1: Find a space
As I wrote earlier, you can work for your blog from your couch, bed, table- it’s your choice. But creating a space only for work will get rid of the “informal” feel a blogger feels. It will give you a purpose, for eg. if you have this X work today then you will have the motivation that you need to finish it. If you are a fulltime blogger and work from home, it’s imperative that you create some difference in work and family-time area.
Tip 2: Organize
I am a messy person when I am working. I focus on the work so much that I forget about the clutter I am making. It often gets piled up and end result: I am left with a huge mess. So my friend, after the end of your work organize the space. I am not going into the whole blog-office organization here, that will take another 1-2 article.
Tip 3: Add things that inspire you
It may be a picture of your loved one, your favorite quote or anything that you love. For me, I have this cute personalized cup from 5amily, some lipsticks and a picture of my family (not shown here). I also have an essential oil humidifier.
Tip 4: Add some green
When I was little my father had a garden and he had rose and various plants there. I do not possess his green-thumb gene, but I like having plants and flowers, which is why I love these additions in my space. These are sent to me by Museum Trees. They offer custom and pre-made artificial plants and as you can see from the pictures, the quality is great! If you love having plants but do not want the mess or pollen allergy, then these are something you should look into.
They were kind enough to provide my readers a coupon code for 10% off on Museum Trees artificial plant products (custom orders excluded). Use the code BLOGGER10 and avail the discount!
Tip 5: Start creating
So now that you have created a dedicated space, start creating.
