Some days back I posted the following eye makeup look on Facebook page of Sifa’s Corner and readers asked me to make a tutorial for it.
If blue is your favorite color, you are going to love today’s tutorial…because it’s blue on blue!
Without further ado, let’s get started.
What have I used:
1 . Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo (75 Electric Blue)
2 . MAC replica pigments: Metallic Blue and Gold
3 . Urban Decay pencil liner in Perversion
4 . ELF cream eyeliner in black
5 . Blue glitter eyeliner by La Femme
6 . BH cosmetics 120 eyeshadow palette
7 . Maybelline volum’ express turbo boost mascara
8 . False Lashes
Steps:
I have not used any eye primer before starting. Because the Maybelline color tattoo acts as a great base for eye shadows But if you want to use one, go ahead and use a primer like Urban Decay “Eden” or Benefit “Stay Don’t Stray”.
1 .
We are going to apply the Maybelline 24 hour color tattoo first on the movable part of upper eye lid. It will act as a blue base for the eye makeup. Do not cross the crease. After applying, it will look like this.
2 .
Now blend the edges of the Blue base with a soft brush. It will look like this.
3 .
Take a blue pigment or shadow and gently pat it on the blue base area. Softly blend the edges.
4 .
Now take the darkest black eyeshadow you have and make a “V” like this on the outer 3rd of your upper lid.
5 .
Blend the harsh “V” with some more black shadow and gradually make the outer part darker.
6 .
Now take a warm brown (2-3 shades darker than your skin color) and place it on the crease, just above the very prominent blue-black line we have just made.
7 .
Now it’s time to blend some more! Blend the warm brown with your black & blue so that it makes a beautiful smoked out look like this.
8 .
Take a gold shadow or pigment and apply it on the inner corner and inner one third of the lower lid.
9 .
Take your black kohl or eye pencil and line the lower lash line. I have used UD Perversion.
10 .
Now take your black shadow and smudge it with the black kohl on the lower lid.
11 .
Take your blue shadow or pigment and smudge it with the black shadow on lower lid.
12 .
Take your black liquid or gel liner and line the upper lid. Do not make any flicks. Just trace the upper lash line.
13 .
Now take a blue glitter liner and apply it on the outer 3rd of the upper lid with a prominent flick. Make it a “Cat liner” but only on the outer 3rd.
14 .
Take your black liner and line above the blue glitter liner like following. Join the newly drawn black line with the previous line.
15 .
Take your blue shadow/pigment and join the lower lid with the upper blue glitter line.
16 .
Fill in your brows and highlight those with a matte cream colored shadow. Apply mascara; add falsies and the eyes are done!
So, did you like this look? It’s great for night time!
