Victoria Justice inspired look

by Wasifa Ahmad Hasan

I posted some pictures 2 weeks ago on Facebook fan page of Sifa’s Corner asking my readers to cast votes for their favorite look among these.
No. 5 (or  Victoria Justice’s look) got the most response and no. 1 (Black-Brown Smokey eye) was its closest contender.
Those who don’t know who Victoria Justice is, she is an actor. Personally I am not a big fan of her acting, but I just love how fresh and youthful her makeup looks!
I just read an interview of her in teenvougemagazine. When asked about her personal makeup style she said,

“I like an almost-no-makeup look. I pour a few drops of Nars Sheer Glow Foundation onto a damp sponge, then blend it over my skin. I wear a bit of blush, waterproof mascara and a lipcolor with a sheer finish. Done!

Guys like natural beauty. I get it. So find ways to make them think you are! My thing is lip stain. It stays put so you don’t have to constantly reapply.”

Here is my attempt to recreate her signature makeup look.

WHAT HAVE I USED

Givenchy phenomen’eyes mascara

L’Oreal infallible foundation
Revlon age defying concealer
MAC studio finish concealer [NC35]

CHEEK

L’Oreal touch on Cheek color in Pink
L’Oreal touch on Highlight

LIP

MAC lipstick in Captive

STEPS

1 .

Prime your upper & lower lid with a primer (I have used UDPP) so that the there won’t be any creasing and the color stays put.

2 .

Take a black or almost black pencil liner and line your upper eye like this. Don’t worry if the line is not perfect. We are going to smudge it anyway like this. I have used Pervesion. It’s a creamy black liner.

3 .

Take a brown eyeshadow 2-3 shades darker than your skin color and blend upwards with the black line. I have used Buck from Naked palette. After blending it should look like this.

4 .

Take a brown shade which is close to your skin color and blend like this, so that there won’t be any harsh edges.

5 .

Take a off-white or nude colored eyeliner and line your lower water-line like this. This little trick will make your eyes look awake and larger!

6 .

Take a shimmery white or off-white shadow and apply it to the inner corner like this. I have used Virgin.

7 .

Take the darker brown eyeshadow (Buck) and apply it on the outer 3rd of your lower lid like this. Blend well.

8 .

Apply a cream or off-white matte shadow under your brow bones. I have used Clinique shadow in French vanilla.

9 .

Fill in your eyebrows, curl your lashes and apply 2-3 coats of mascara. I have skipped the falsies here.

10 .

Use a tinted moisturizer. Powder your T-zone only. Add a soft pink blush and top it with a soft highlighter.
Use your favorite pink lipstick. I have used Captive by MAC.

So, do you think I did “justice” to this lovely look? Haha..
Hope you like it. Any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to chime in below!

Great tutorial! I like your tips for using a lighter shadow under the brow and a ceige-y liner on the waterline–it makes such a difference in how awake you look, but so many people forget to do it!
