Have you heard about this year’s Pantone Color? With an unexpected twist, this year Pantone announced 2 colors as the color(s) of the year 2016. ROSE QUARTZ & SERENITY.

Here’s how Pantone introduced these colors:

For the first time Pantone introduces two shades, Rose Quartz and Serenity as the PANTONE Color of the Year 2016. Rose Quartz is a persuasive yet gentle tone that conveys compassion and a sense of composure. Serenity is weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky above us, bringing feelings of respite and relaxation even in turbulent times.

MY THOUGHTS:

Personally the colors are a little “mild” for my taste. But that was before I became a mommy. Now all the cute colors catch my eyes more than my usual favorites. I think these colors are like a “breath of fresh air”…and when I read the description Pantone gave for these colors my thoughts matched theirs exactly!

As usual, Sephora has released makeup products featuring Rose Quartz and Serenity…which includes eyeshadow palettes, lip colors etc.

Though I have not yet used these colors in my makeup routine, I dug deep for some product suggestions and came up with the following.
