NEW ON THE BLOCK: Aqua Rouge

Those who are familiar with the makeup world are acquainted with the name MAKE UP FOR EVER or MUFE. This company was founded in 1984 and has given us many wonderful products.

I , for one, love the MUFE HD foundation and HD powder. It feels like heaven on my skin!

The latest addition to MUFE family is its new liquid lipstick: AQUA ROUGE.

Here is what Dany Sanz, the mastermind behind MUFE, has to say about the product.

Here are some pictures given in MUFE facebook site on how to apply this AQUA ROUGE. You can use the same method for applying any dark lipstick!

Step 1 : Apply a Concealer Pencil on the outside edges of the lips.Blend with a brush.

Step 2 : You need to determine the center of the mouth by paying attention to the position of the nose.
Begin by tracing the middle of the upper lip (cupid’s bow), using the Aqua Lip pencil (OR any other red lip liner), choosing the ideal shape (rounded, pointed …)

Step 3 : Then draw a line to define the center of the lower lip

Step 4 : Continue to draw the line from each corner of the mouth.

Step 5 : Join the lines, in one fluid motion, starting at each corner and back towards the center.

Step 6 : Apply Aqua Rouge Color (OR the color of your choice) using a brush or applicator, starting from the center of the upper lip and filling the edges.

Step 7 : Blot with a tissue and reapply.

Step 8 : Apply the Top Coat ( OR any lip gloss of your choice) using a brush to set and create a more intense color.

Final Look

Here is how I pulled it off….with classic cat eye!

My shade is #8 red. I skipped the gloss and kept it quite matte. If you want to recreate the eye look...here is how I did it.
