Makeup companies are coming out with new products every single month. With so many new launches, it’s really hard for everyday people to keep track and figuring out which one to actually divulge into. Because let’s be real, it’s not feasible to buy all the new launches just because they have pretty packaging or your favorite blogger’s name is on the product (though you have similar product like that).
So what to do? Read or watch reviews, of course. Which is why, today I am going to talk about Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam palette and Amrezy Highlighter. Are they worthy to become your new “it” products? Continue reading to find out!
Here is what the brand has to say about the palette:
Featuring fourteen essential shades, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eye Shadow Palette is the perfect collection of easy-to-blend, full pigment shadows. With a long-lasting formula, this palette is complete with bronze metallics and iridescent finishes ideal for a nighttime look and neutral mattes for daytime.
With a soft brown velvet exterior, the palette is like a standard Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) palette. It comes with a dual ended brush and a mirror. Not heavy and easy to travel with.
Here are the 14 shades from the palette:
If you need a palette for your everyday or special occasions, this is a palette you should invest in. I love the fact that it has a great variety of neutral colors with matte and shimmer finishes.
Anastasia Beverly Hills teamed up with blogger Amra Olević (@amrezy) to launch this limited edition Amrezy Highlighter. With a sleek black and gold packaging, this highlighter looks like a wave of golden sand in a small compact. Packaging wise I give it 10 out of 10!
Now let’s talk about the actual product. The product is described as:
….an illuminating powder that achieves the perfect glow. With the feel of second-skin, this ultra-smooth formula delivers a radiant finish and reflects a light, brilliant gold.
I can describe this color as a light-medium, champagne gold with warm undertones. It’s not glittery or shimmery, rather a sheen which can be built to full coverage. It doesn’t just “sit” on top of the cheeks nor make the skin texture look worse. Rather it gives a healthy shine when brushed lightly with a brush.
Below, you can see the product swatch.
A= Swatched once with a finger, B= Swatched with a highlighter brush.
The color is not too light, or dark for my skin. Depending on how much I use it, it gives a pretty decent result. As it’s a limited edition product, I would suggest give it a go if you don’t have anything like this in your collection.
You can see both of the products in action here:
You can get these online at Sephora, Ulta and ABH Website.
I love both of these products- packaging and quality wise!
