Special thanks to Zotos for providing me the products. All opinion is my own.
Now let’s talk about the Stylers of ZOTOS All About Curls Collection. If you have not checked the previous review on the cleansers and conditioner, read it here. The All About Curls collection has 2 cleansers, 2 conditioners and 4 stylers including 2 gels, 1 cream, and 1 boosting foam. To make the article detailed but not too big, this is the second part containing ZOTOS All About Curls Collection Stylers. First, let me give you an idea of how do I style my curls.
How Do I Style my 2C curls:
After washing and conditioning my hair, I apply the styling products in the shower on my dripping wet hair. If I want softer and more voluminous curls I use a cream & a mousse or a foam styler. When I want defined curls, I will use cream, followed by gel and mousse. On the days when I am staying home and I want to go product free, I will just use a leave-in product. (Think of it as a moisturizer for your hair).
When I am refreshing my hair (with water), I will use a pea-size of cream or a dollop of mousse on my curls and scrunch it well.
After that, I squeeze the excess water out with a T-shirt and air dry/ diffuse. Once dry, I lightly shake the root area to soften the curls. I have documented how my curls look with different kinds of products on my Instagram stories. Have a look, you will get a visual idea.
All About Curls Collection- Stylers:
The All About Curls collection has 1 soft hold gel, 1 strong hold gel, a cream, and a boosting foam. It took me some time to get the correct recipe to combine and use these on my hair for optimal results. For loose wavy-curls, I can use only the cream. For softer defined curls, I use the cream followed by the foam. For more defined curls, I use the gels after the cream. followed by the boosting foam.

High Definition Gel:
Don’t let the name fool you! The “hard” part is only in the name, you will not get crunchy, hard crust from this product. This gel is a bit thicker than the Soft Definition gel and it took me some time to figure out the differences between these 2 gels.
It feels stickier and a tad bit thicker than the soft gel. You will need a small amount to get defined curls, so a little amount goes a long way.
Also, this one is protein-free.
Price:
$9.99 – $10.99
Where to Buy:
Sally Beauty, Amazon.
My Thoughts:
It’s really wise of Zotos to make this gel protein-free. I have found that when I switch up a protein-free product with a protein product (or vice-versa) my hair behaves better.
Soft Definition Gel:
I like the soft gel more. Because-
A- I do not need super defined curls all the time.
B- It’s more user friendly than the hard gel. I have to mention that both of these gels do not feel gooey or super sticky at all. They are easily spreadable between the palm of your hands and apply on wet curls.
Price:
$9.99 – $10.99
Where to Buy:
Sally Beauty, Amazon.
My Thoughts:
This is the gel I use most often. But when I feel like my curls are getting overloaded with protein, I switch it up with the protein-free hard definition gel. Especially after refreshing the hair with water, this gel gives me the best result.
Boosting Foam:
This product is also protein-free and as the name suggests, it gives a softer, lighter hold. When I want to have voluminous looser curls, I will use this boosting foam. I believe this will be really handy is Summer months, as I don’t like to pile on products during the warmer weather.
Price:
$9.99 – $10.99
Where to Buy:
Sally Beauty, Amazon.
My Thoughts:
I feel like the foam works best in conjunction with the cream. The combo is a perfect match for my 2C curls. When I use only the foam (without any leave-in), I feel like my curls get a bit dry on the 2nd day.
Bouncy Cream:
Firstly let me tell you, curl creams often make my hair greasy and oily the next day. So I am not a curl-cream user….. until I tried and used this particular one. Zotos Bouncy Cream feels like a leave-in and a styler in one. I just use it on my dripping wet curls, section by section and v-e-r-y gently brush the hair with a wet brush like this, away from the roots. In this way, the product spreads to all of the curls and works amazingly well.
Price:
$9.99 – $10.99
Where to Buy:
Sally Beauty, Amazon.
My Thoughts:
You can not see from the picture but I am almost hitting the end of this tube and I am surely going to grab another one. This product is that I have used whenever I wet my hair since February.
