Review, Swatch, and Thoughts on Urban Decay Born To Run Collection
Is it Fall already? It sure feels like so. The weather is changing and I am waiting for the warmer intense Fall colors. Speaking of colors, I have been recently sent the Urban Decay Born To Run collection and when I opened the eyeshadow palette, I restrained myself from swatching those. Because I knew this palette and the collection needs a separate review article.
So here we are. Let’s open the box and dive in.
I was sent the Born to Run palette, 3 lip colors, 3 liners and 1 spray from the collection as PR gift.
BORN TO RUN EYESHADOW PALETTE:
This palette has 21 warm toned deep rich colors from matte to shimmer finishes. It has a decent mirror and feels lightweight. I loved the fact that it doesn’t have heavier packaging like most Urban Decay palettes. I am swatching the shadows here with my fingers and without any primer. Note that, eyeshadows can look and feel different depending on how and what you apply these with.
Some of the matte shadows acted a bit patchy, but they were easy to build up and showed no problem while blending.
Here are the swatches.
BORN TO RUN VICE LIPSTICKS:
These 3 lipsticks are limited edition and they are just made for Fall season. The products are:
- Ready? : Bright rose-sparkle
- 66 : Mauve-Nude
- Marfa : Dark Berry with pink micro shimmers.
Personally, I like 66– color and formula-wise. It’s a beautiful shade which I can wear in any occasion. Nowadays I limit the sparkly shades only to my eyes, lips are off-limits.
BORN TO RUN 24/7 GLIDE ON PENCILS:
Urban Decay 24/7 glide on pencils are my most favorite eye pencils on the market. Why?
Reason no 1: They stay on really well on my waterline.
Reason no 2: The line has so-many-colors!
The products here are:
- Double Life: metallic Reddish-brown
- Overdrive: metallic deep green
- Lucky: metallic rich copper
Double Life and Lucky looks *almost* similar, Lucky is a bit warmer than Double Life.
ALL NIGHTER MAKEUP SETTING SPRAY:
Born To Run travel sized All Nighter Makeup setting spray is the smaller version of the full sized All Nighter spray. The size makes it easier to travel with. As a product, I have been using All Nighter spray for 4-5 years. And no matter which spray I am using for my makeup, I will always end my work with a few spritzes of Urban Decay All Nighter. It’s effective- my makeup stays put and looks better afterward.
PRICE & AVAILABILITY:
The palette is $49, Vice lipstick $18 each, 24/7 glide-on eye pencil $21 each. You can get these online here at: Sephora, Ulta. (affiliate links)

PROS:
- If you have never tried any other eyeshadow palettes from Urban Decay, try this one. The eyeshadow palette has a good variety of colors with different finishes that you can use for any occasion.
- The comfort matte formula of the lipstick 66 is great! It will not dry out the lips or smudge at the first sip of coffee.
- The liners have good color payoff and longevity.
CONS:
- I wish the palette had a blue shadow! (Blue shadows are my weakness).
- The lipsticks are limited-edition.
IN A NUTSHELL:
From the Born to Run collection I loved the palette the most.

The 66 lipstick is gorgeous! I love the look of the palette, I’m not sure that it is anything very different from what I already own though. It’s still a stunner! Congrats on getting sent all of these beauties to review! 🙂
Hi Wendy! I guess you can never have enough eyeshadows or lipsticks! #beautybloggerproblem
