With the onset of Summer, many of us get conscious of our bodies. We want to have a “bikini-ready” body even if we don’t wear a bikini. We just want to feel good, be fit and happy. For many, the task of losing excess weight can become disheartening, especially if there is a lot to shed. But getting a step ahead, engaging in exercise routines, and eating smart and right means you can sooner achieve the bikini body you have been aiming.
In Sifa’s Corner, We talked about how to start a fitness plan last week. This week we are going to talk about how to further improve your healthy lifestyle and have a fit bikini-ready body. Here are 3 non-invasive treatments that you can undergo without the difficulty of going under the knife. So, let’s take a moment and look at each of these treatments:
1. Vanquish Treatment:
The Vanquish treatment is one of the latest FDA-approved nonsurgical procedures that treat stubborn fat deposits. The procedure utilizes radiofrequency that initiates a programmed death of fat cells at the superficial fat layer of the skin. However, this treatment is only best for small fat reductions on the abdomen and thighs.
During the treatment, patients lie underneath a machine with adjustable panels. The apparatus heats the underlying fat to 120°, eliciting a warm feeling in patients undergoing the procedure. One treatment session lasts for 30 to 45 minutes, with successive sessions one week after another.
2. 3D Liposuction:
3D Liposuction is another advanced non-surgical procedure available to patients who want to sculpt their bodies. This procedure is best in shaping the body, particularly the upper arm, around the neck and jawline, abdomen, inner and outer thigh, flanks, and buttocks.
3D Liposuction lasts for 30 minutes to an hour and a half. Depending on your desired results, plastic surgeons recommend at least six to eight sessions with an interval of one week per session. Moreover, it combines four body contouring methods in one treatment: fat freezing, ultrasound cavitation, radiofrequency, and dermatology.
Four Body Contouring Procedures of 3D Liposuction
- Cryolipolysis – Known as fat freezing, this procedure uses cold temperatures to eliminate fat cells. During cryolipolysis, a vacuum application is placed on the treatment site and freezes the surrounding skin to about -6°C. At this temperature, the water content of fat cells solidifies and triggers the cell to undergo programmed cell death. The cells are then disposed of through the body’s elimination processes.
- Ultrasound Cavitation – This method uses transducer plates that emit low-frequency ultrasound after the application of a gel over the target site. The low-frequency ultrasound initiates the formation of bubbles in the fat cells, which causes them to collapse due to extreme heat and pressure. The destroyed fat cells are then excreted as waste from the body.
- Radiofrequency – Radiofrequency is usually performed in smaller areas. Temperature ranging from 38° to 41° is applied to the treatment site, causing fat cells to liquefy. It also targets the skin layer where collagen and elastin are abundant. Radiofrequency is beneficial if you also want to have smoother and firmer skin, as it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin while inducing fat reduction.
- Dermology – Dermology works in two ways: it refines the skin and reduces the cellulite in the target areas through the roller and vacuum suction action of the applicator. Other benefits include increased and improved blood and lymph circulation.
3. CoolSculpting:
The most popular FDA-approved non-invasive body contouring procedure is CoolSculpting. Based on the science of cryolipolysis, it utilizes cold temperatures to solidify fat cells, causing them to die and be discharged through the body’s lymphatic system. CoolSculpting can be used on stubborn fat bulges found in the chin, arms, abdomen, thighs, flanks, back, and buttocks.
During CoolSculpting, a vacuum applicator that lightly pinches the target area administers the cold temperature to freeze the fat cells just beneath the skin. The cool temperature prompts the fat cells to crystallize and disintegrate. Afterward, the treated site is briefly massaged to reduce swelling. CoolSculpting lasts for an hour but may take longer depending on the number of areas to be treated.
For those who prefer a more natural approach to getting rid of cellulite, using anti-cellulite creams can be a great option. Unlike invasive procedures, these creams are non-surgical and can be applied easily at home. They are typically made with natural ingredients like caffeine, retinol, and antioxidants, which work to boost circulation and promote collagen production.
Anti-cellulite creams:
Anti-cellulite creams can be highly effective in reducing the appearance of cellulite, even in the most affected parts of the body, such as the stomach. These creams work by targeting the underlying causes of cellulite, such as poor circulation and the buildup of fat cells. In addition to using anti-cellulite creams, it’s also important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise regularly in order to achieve the best results.
