Thank you for supporting the brands that make Sifa’s Corner possible!
If you follow my Instagram stories (@sifascorner), you probably know that I post about food, travel, a glimpse of my personal life, but never about any game of any sort. It’s because I am the last person who gets excited about any game. But my husband is the polar opposite, he loves and jumps at the first opportunity of playing or watching a game. It was a bit of adjustment at first, to be honest, but gradually I have started to grow interest. So if you are going to attend/host a viewing party or tailgate, I am giving my 5 G’s on Gameday glam makeup & hair.
1. GATHER THE SUPPLIES:
You won’t be needing tons of products to do the hair and makeup, but you should have the correct products to get the best look possible. This is why I have picked my trusty drugstore products from L’Oreal Paris USA. The lip products I am using today are INFALLIBLE® PAINTS/LIPS Metallic Liquid Lipstick in the shade 330 Moon Lust and INFALLIBLE® PAINTS/LIPS Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade 350 Cinna-Bomb.
For hair, I chose 2 temporary colors, as I was not sure which one to go with before starting the makeup. So I chose Colorista 1-Day Spray Temporary Hair Spray in the shade Rosegold02 and Blue300.
You can get these products at any drugstore or online stores.
2. GLITTER OR GLAM?
You could go with glitter, matching the color to the team you support. I added a hint of green to match the North Dakota State Bison football logo color. If you are wondering, The North Dakota State Bison football program represents North Dakota State University in college football at the NCAA Division. So just like this, you can use your favorite color underneath your eyes for a bright pop of color!
3. GIVE SOME LIP ACTION:
Both the dark brownish red of the Matte lipstick and the Rose gold color of the Metallic one were beautiful. So I went with an ombre lip.
I painted the outer perimeter of my lips with the dark color and then I filled up the rest of my lips with the rose gold color. I have to mention here that the lip products are really comfortable on lips and the applicator is pretty easy to use. The colors are opaque, so you just need one swipe to get a full coverage.
4. GLITZ THE HAIR:
This is the most fun part of the whole look. As I have extremely dark hair with no highlights at the moment, I thought “Let’s go with the rose gold highlight!” and also, I wanted to keep the rose gold theme. I am glad that I picked this color. Oh boy! I think I have found my next hair color or at least the highlight color!
This temporary hair color spray allows to instantly get bold looks when you want them and how you want them without the commitment – this color spray for hair is out after 1 day and is kind to your hair. Just spray, play, wash, repeat.
How To Use the Colorista Spray:
Wear a dark colored cloth and shake well before each use. Hold can 4–6 inches from dry hair and spray. Don’t spray too much at once. Wait a few minutes for color to dry completely. Color is more visible as it dries. Don’t touch it right away either – it takes a little time to fully dry.
Here is an example of how easy to get it out of your hands. Just wash it with soap and water and voila! All clean.
5. GET INTO THE SPIRIT:
All the hair and makeup you have just done won’t look/feel good if you don’t enjoy the party! So grab your favorite drink and join the event.
