Face oils or oils, in general, have been staple products in beauty for a long time. But recently brands are coming out with products such as, dry oil, gel which turns into oil upon touch, oil gel etc. Today I have listed 5 Face Oil products I can’t live without in my beauty routine and you should invest in. So keep on reading!
5 FACE OIL PRODUCTS:
I have been using these 5 products on and off for at least a year. I have categorized these as face oils, but have also used these for my nails, cuticles, arm and sometimes, hair. The products are:
- Tarte Maracuja Oil
- Jolie Maroc Argan Oil
- Farmacy Sleep Firming night balm
- Nuxe Dry Oil
- Derma E Illuminating Rosehip & Cranberry Oil
WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER FACE OIL:
If you suffer from persistent or seasonal dry itchy skin which won’t “feel” moisturized even after slathering on moisturizers, face oil can be really helpful for you. Even if you don’t suffer from dryness, you can use oils in your beauty routine. So the question arises, why should you use face oils?
It’s because face oils can lock in the hydration. Plant oils are rich in antioxidant and along with daily moisturizer they can provide the moisture boost that our skin needs on colder days. The right oil or a blend of beneficial oils can give amazing results for dry and dehydrated skin. If you have eczema-prone skin, you should consider fragrance-free oils to fulfill the needs.
HOW CAN YOU USE FACE OIL:
- The best way to use a face oil is along with your regular moisturizer. You can also use it on its own.
- You can wear face oil under your makeup to make it look glowy and radiant.
Tarte Maracuja Oil:
This oil is cold-pressed from the maracuja fruit which is naturally rich in brightening vitamin C & replenishing essential fatty acids to nourish, protect & feed the skin. This bottle lasted me almost a year though there is still some left here. To use this oil:
- Apply 2-3 drops onto clean, dry skin on face and neck. You can also mix it with your moisturizer to help form an antioxidant barrier against the environment and seal in moisture longer.
- Mix 1-2 drops with your favorite liquid foundation for enhanced hydration and a dewy, radiant finish.
Jolie Maroc Argan Oil
This particular brand is fairly new in my collection. I have used the famous Josie Maran argan oil for a long long time before this brand, don’t get me wrong I don’t have any complaints about that product, but I needed to try other brands to see the difference. This is 100% pure argan oil which is natural & undiluted. It is cold pressed for a concentrated oil the enhances the natural benefits of Argan. This oil works best on dry hands, cuticles, elbows and the dry ends of hair. You can even mix a couple of drops on your moisturizer to apply it on the feet. Get it online here.
Farmacy Sleep Firming Night Balm:
This is a balm like product which will transform into an oil after touching. This lightweight balm is said to moisturize, support firming and toning, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while we sleep. I have started to use a little bit of this balm around my smile lines, and whenever I use it, I can feel the area smoothen up and look less wrinkly.
Nuxe Dry Oil:
This is the most expensive product in this list and the quality justifies the price. Nuxe dry oil can be used as a moisturizer, booster of moisturizer, under makeup, with makeup, for dry hair, hands, elbows…..so the possibility of using this oil effectively is absolutely 100%. You can see the product in action on my easy winter hair and makeup tutorial. If you are looking online to get this oil, you can check here.
Derma E Illuminating Rosehip & Cranberry Oil:
This deeply hydrating facial oil is enriched with pure plant botanicals, essential oils, antioxidants, and fatty acids to promote luminous, healthy-looking skin. Brightening Rosehip Oil, Cranberry and organic Pumpkin Seed Oils provide a more youthful glow. It’s lightweight, doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. It is advised to apply 2-3 drops to hands, then massage onto clean face in the morning and evening.
The cool thing about the above-mentioned oils is that they are all unique in their own way and work pretty well. So give these a try and let me know what you think!
